1. Deactivation Options

Temporary Deactivation

  1. User Profiles:
    • Users can temporarily deactivate their profiles.
    • During deactivation:
      • Your profile remains hidden from other users.
      • Messages and interactions are paused.
      • You can reactivate your account whenever you want.
  2. Content Creators:
    • Creators can temporarily deactivate their profiles.
    • During deactivation:
      • Your videos are hidden from public view.
      • Interactions with viewers are paused.
      • You can reactivate your account at any time.

Permanent Deactivation

  1. User Profiles:
    • If you choose to permanently deactivate your account:
      • You cannot regain access once it’s deleted.
      • We delay deletion for a few days after your request.
      • Logging back in during this period cancels the deletion.
      • Some information, like messaging history, isn’t stored in your account.
      • Friends may still have access to messages sent after deletion.
      • Copies of certain material (e.g., log records) may remain in our database but are disassociated from personal identifiers.
  2. Content Creators:
    • Permanent deactivation follows similar guidelines as for user profiles.
    • Your videos and interactions are permanently removed from the platform.

2. Procedure for Deactivation

  1. User Profiles:
    • Click your profile picture in the top right of ViewMe.Watch.
    • Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
    • Choose Deactivate Account and follow the instructions to confirm.
  2. Content Creators:
    • Follow the same steps as for user profiles.
    • Deactivation removes your videos and interactions.
